I really enjoy my fireplace, but I don't enjoy the price of logs, carrying up wood to my condo, and/or the cleaning process. My parents purchased this unit and was I surprised by how real and nice it looked in their home. I decided to purchase one of my own and it's been a fantastic addition to my condo. It turns on with a remote control, the cord is easy to hide, very easy to install, blows heat if you choose, and creates a nice look without the mess. I've been very happy with mine.

We recently bought an 84 year old home with a VERY decrepit fireplace chimney. It had a gas free standing "looks like a real fire"stove that stuck out about three feet int6o the small front room. The fireplace it self is beautiful brick work so we did not want to tear it out. We tried various ways to make it utile and finally stumbled on the DIMPLEX. It is everything we were looking for. It fit perfectly and looks real. I mean it really looks like a fire is going. Plus it is a heater big enough to heat our little front room. it was easy to install and the delivery was VERY VERY fast! I am very impressed!

We have a beautiful stone Swedish fireplace in the living room that hasn't been used for years, in fact we used it to display artificial plants and flowers. I found this unit on Amazon while searching encased units, so knowing Amazon'z return policy, I took a chance it would work in this situation. I am more than pleased with the unit and it fit perfectly inside the firebox. I can sit 90 degrees from the front of fireplace and it still looks very realistic. We had painted the firebox black years ago so you need to get within 4 or 5 feet to realize the unit is not part of the firebox.

I am so impressed! EVEN MY KITTIES ARE FOOLED! They curl up in perfect comfort! I was able to easily install it myself. It looks so very real and is available anytime I want it. Would easily recommend it without reservations.

We recently purchased a new house in Florida with a fireplace in the family room. The first day my wife said, "Oh, let's build a fire." I replied, "Are you nuts, it's 95 degrees out there!" But I had a plan.
Went on Amazon and ordered this unit which arrived in only two days. All I had to do was unpack it, slide it into the existing fireplace, and plug it in. The flames are very, very realistic and the logs glow just like the real thing. Now she's happy, and as we all know, when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Only one small problem. Now she wants another one for the bedroom!
