The EdenPURE heater is a safe, clean, economical heat and uses infarared quartz heating elements. Low operating and maintenance costs and heats up to 1000 sq. ft. Uses 1263 kilowatts per hour of electricity. Use front panel push button controls or the remote control. Electronic thermostat range 60 F. to 86 F. Galvanized steel inside and polypropylene black shell with burled wood accents. Filter can be cleaned with warm water or vacuum once removed from the back of the unit. Caster wheels for easy portability. 12.5A, 1483W, approximately 5000 BTU. 100'' long, 14 gauge, 110V, 3 prong plug electric cord. Fan: 105 cfm. Approximate size is 17'' H. x 13'' W. x 19.75'' D.

"Perhaps you've seen the ads for the EdenPure heater. I got one last year, and am downright ecstatic with it. Gas had not been installed on the lot where my mobile home was place. So I've used electric heaters the 7 years I've lived here, and was so afraid of fire I would not leave them on when I went to bed, or was gone. Needless to say, even with our minimal cold weather down here (low 30s occasionally), I was uncomfortably cold a lot of the time when we would have a taste of winter. One of the top selling points of the EdenPure is that it WILL NOT START A FIRE! My pets can sit on it, as external surfaces do not get hot. I leave it on night and day, with thermostat lowered at night, and my electric bill was lower than when I had the space heaters on only part of the time! In colder areas, it would have to be used in a closed room, or in addition to furnace with lowered thermostat."

This EdenPure 1000 is very quiet and doesn't get very hot on the outside like other heaters do. Because of that, I can sleep soundly without worrying about safety. This is the most modern heater that I've ever seen. I'm going to get some for gifts for my family.

I purchased this unit because a friend recommended it and it is everything I wanted. My basement is 1740 sq ft and although I didn't plan for it to make everything down there feel comfortable it does!!

With the onset of cooler weather just around the corner it is time to think about how you can reduce the cost of heating your home this winter. Let me say at the outset that the Eden Pure GEN3 Model 1000 Portable Heater is not for everyone. If you live in a big house with large open rooms and cathedral ceilings then read no further. You'll have to look elsewhere to solve your problem. But if you reside in a smaller home and have the ability to close doors then the Eden Pure heater just might be your ticket to significantly lower heating costs.
My wife and I purchased our first Eden Pure heater about two years ago. Given the escalating price of fuel oil we felt we needed to find an alternative way to keep our home comfortable during the chilly New England winter. I spotted a full page ad in our local newspaper for the Eden Pure heater and decided to give it a try. All Eden Pure heaters come with a 60 day total satisfaction guarantee. 60 days is more than enough time to determine whether or not this product is going to work for you. We decided to purchase the smaller Model 500 unit and began using it to heat our living room in the evening. We kept our thermostat at 58. While the smaller model was OK it did not make the room as toasty warm as we had hoped. After about two months the infrared bulb failed forcing us to return the unit to the manufacturer for replacement. The replacement unit arrived just days later with a letter of apology. To compensate for our inconvenience the folks at Eden Pure upgraded us to the Model 1000 product at no additional charge. As it turned out this was a terrific break for us as the Model 1000 was exactly what we needed. To make a long story short we have since purchased another Model 1000 for our bedroom and bought another for our pastor to use in his bedroom at the rectory. We count ourselves very happy customers of this product. We continue to be very frugal about they way we heat our home and use our heating system as little as possible. I would estimate that it costs us no more than 15 cents an hour to use the Eden Pure heater. Furthermore, over the past two winters I would estimate that we have saved in the neighborhood of $200-$300 per year on heating oil. In essence, these Eden Pure heaters have practically paid for themselves.
One final note. Unlike other electric heaters we have used the Eden Pure GEN3 Model 1000 Portable Heater will not dry out the air. This is a one of major reasons we are so happy with this product. Also, this unit does not get hot so it is perfectly safe to use around little kids and pets. Finally, the unit is mounted on wheels making it pretty easy to move from room to room. I have to admit I am flabbergasted by the number of negative reviews this item has received. I suspect that most people who wound up dissatisfied tried using them in very large rooms. But if you are actively seeking ways to cut the cost of heating your home consider Eden Pure. Check them out online. You just might discover a way to keep you and your family comfortable this winter at a price you can afford. Highly recommended!

Hello everyone,
Let me be upfront here, I have 2 Edenpure heaters and I like them. I also know alot of people who deal with them. There are alot of refurbished or used units out there and some of the older models look very similair to the new ones. I know for a fact that these units often end up being pushed through untrustworthy sellers and the customer is left clueless until someone that already has one lets them know they've been duped. If you decide to buy a unit, make sure it is from a reputable seller. There are only a few on the internet and as of 11/30/09 the Amazon.com seller Pure Energy LLC is the only authorized seller on this site for Edenpure. If you guys are purchasing these units off of this site and it's from another seller, the manufacturer will not warranty the unit. The units come with a 3 year warranty. Here is how the warranty works: If something happens in three years, you call the authorized dealer and let them know there is a problem. Then they fill out the paperwork for you and send you a Prepaid shipping label packet (your not supposed to pay for shipping or repairs folks). The unit is sent back, fixed or replaced and then it's sent back to you. From my experience, the process can be handled in less than 2 weeks. The bottom line...Make Sure you buy the unit from an authorized dealer and on Amazon.com there is only the dealer I mentioned above. If you buy off another website, check them out first and if you buy locally, make sure you ask them about the warranty coverage and if they are an authorized seller. I'll write another review about what these units can and won't do for you.
